Paramount Network Acquires FTA Rights To The CW’s Arrow

‘Arrow’ Comes to Paramount Network

Watch out, Paramount Network subscribers! The Emerald Archer is headed to your channel!

Viacom’s fledgling channel, Paramount Network, has acquired free-to-air rights for Arrow, The CW’s long-running live-action adaptation of the Green Arrow comic book. The deal was struck with international distributor Warner Bros International Television Distribution.

This is the third deal Warner Bros has made for Arrow in the UK. Sky One has a long-standing first window agreement for the show, and in 2014 Amazon secured SVOD rights. The first season of Arrow will premiere on Paramount later this month.  Arrow isn’t the first show Paramount Network has acquired. Since their launch, they have secured FTA right to such shows as Suits, Marvel’s Agent Carter, Sleepy Hollow and Designated Survivor along with exclusive first-run acquisition in the short-lived Kaitlin Olsen (It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia) fronted Fox comedy The Mick, which is set to premiere later this year.
