A suspect who was in possession of six locally-made rifle barrels and 290 rounds of ammunition has been arrested by a group of officers from the Kobeigane Police Station in Kahtagaswewa, Kobeigane.
The arrested suspect is a 54-year-old resident of Kosgahagoda Boraluveva area. The Police are investigating as to how the suspect got these weapons, and who manufactured them. Police are conducting further investigations.
The suspect is to be produced before Courts.
