Introducing ArKay which claims to be the World’s First Alcohol Free Whisky Flavored Drink. Now I know what you’re thinking, “Did I read the sentence correctly?”. Go ahead. Read it again. I’ll wait.
Yup! You read it right , “Alcohol Free Whisky Flavored Drink.” Now you must have a ton of questions like “Why?”, “WTF?”, and “Ewww!”. Well that last one isn’t a question, but I’ll try to answer the others.
Launched earlier this month, ArKay was introduced as the world’s first alcohol free whisky drink. Why? I don’t know. My speculation is that there is a chemist somewhere that is working to take all the fun out of life. Or maybe someone thought, “You know who would like whisky … kids! But what about all that alcohol?”
As for the “WTF?” question, it turns out that ArKay is made from the world’s finest industrial chemicals including:
- Glycerol
- 1- butanol
- Natural and Artificial flavors
- Lactic acid
- Caramel color
- Potassium Sorbate
- Aspartame and Acesulfame K
Mmmm …. Glycerol. Where do I get me some?
Now I hope that this announcement is just some cruel internet hoax, but more likely is that some guys actually spent months in a lab developing this stuff instead of working to cure cancer or to develop an emission free fuel. They claim that ArKay tastes and looks exactly like traditional whisky, but I doubt it. All I know is that I like booze in my booze, and I’m a firm believer in the old saying, “If it ain’t broke, don’t break it!”
