Arkansas 3-Year-old Dead - Sheriff Says It Was Just an Accident

Local news reports Authorities in Greene County say the weekend shooting death of a 3-year-old boy was accidental. Greene County Sheriff Dan Langston says 3-year-old Logan Carter of Fontaine died from a gunshot wound to the head. The sheriff says a relative accidentally shot Logan with a .45-caliber semi-automatic handgun on Saturday. According to the sheriff's office, the boy's family took him to Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould after the shooting. The boy was pronounced dead at the hospital. Langston says officials are still investigating the case to determine whether any charges should be filed.
