A man accidentally shot himself in the leg while using the restroom at the McDonald's restaurant at Lake Valley Road and Highway 69 Monday morning, a PVPD spokesman said.
About 9 a.m., a 60-year-old Cottonwood man went into the restroom and the .32 caliber Cobra handgun fell out of his pocket, hit the floor, and fired a round into his leg, Sgt. Scott Stebbins said.
Police found that the semi-automatic pistol was in a nylon holster when the gun discharged, sending the bullet through the holster, the man's left calf and right thigh, Stebbins said.
