Twellow is a Directory of Twitter users with hundreds of categories so you can find and follow people who matter to you. I received an email earlier today from them about their Twellowhood. It was very neat. It's a map and you can pinpoint Twitter users around your area. It's great if you want to have local people to engage with, follow, etc.
