Silver is a fantastic novel. There is so much to enjoy within the pages; gothic horror, murder mystery, echoes of Frankenstein, echoes of great Werewolf literature and well-rounded, interesting characters. I had a great time reading this novel. This is one of those novels you can't stop reading once you've started. I found myself literally engrossed after a couple of chapters. I loved the elements of supernatural woven throughout the novel. I loved the thriller elements and the mystery of uncovering why Joy wrote such a dark and disturbing novel, why her family were desperate for it not to be published and what exactly Joy's husband was up to in the basement. I liked the way Joy's death is linked to deaths of other writers who died in ways that re-enacted scenes from their book. This was a nice touch. Silver impressed me. I got completely sucked into this book. I look forward to seeing what the author comes up with next.
