This is my first Cecilia Ahern book.
Flawed starts off quite lacklustre and I really wasn't impressed. However, the book really starts to shine when Celestine tries to help an old Flawed man and becomes something quite brilliant.
I like the society created in Flawed, a world where everyone needs to be perfect all the time and any poor judgement sees you branded as Flawed, a damaged ostracised freak. Imagine how many of us would be Flawed in such a world? I know I would be. There are some dark moments in the book. Celestine's branding made me feel sick to the stomach. The treatment she receives by her so-called friends when she's lured to a party horrified me. I started off disliking Celestine and found her irritating but she changed completely through the course of the book and I grew to really like her. Judge Craven and Celestine's whistle-blower were brilliant villains. Judge Craven comes across as such a stand-up guy at first and his actions chilled me to the bone. What a b******. There's a special seat in hell for him.
Flawed starts off shaky but I ended up loving it. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
