Apple have taken quite a lot of time to build up to launching a streaming service to compete with Netflix and Amazon here in the UK at least. Disney are ready to launch in the US and they also have Hulu which we have never had in the UK. So Apple TV+ is the new venture, I feel as though it will bring me more use out of Apple TV which I have only really used to stream Amazon Prime with Netflix being added to Sky.
Free 7 day trial followed by monthly payments of £4.99 which seems reasonable but it doesn't appear to have a whole lot of content to begin with but I know they will have plenty of different things planned. It just basically means that watching everything new spread across so many different services will start to get very expensive for a full year. You can watch the first episodes of the different TV shows before even signing up for the free trial, which I guess is a good way to decide if you feel it will be worth even paying for one month or not.
The Morning Show seems to have been pushed a lot I have seen the advert over and over again each morning when watching Good Morning Britain whilst having my breakfast before work. Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell are big names and addressing the Me Too movement in the show certainly seems to be the best way to go for one of the launch TV shows. It is pushed as the main show and with the cast I can fully understand why, I will be checking out episode one as soon as possible.
See starring Jason Momoa, Dickinson starring Hailee Steinfeld and For All Mankind make up the first main shows that have launched with the service. It seems as though they have tried to have a few different genres in the line up, I am quite surprised that nothing appears though to tick the comedy or romance box. I personally would have thought something like that would be the biggest selling point? Other programmes that come with the launch are the following: Oprah's Book Club, a book-focused series with Oprah Winfrey. Helpsters, a Sesame Street spinoff. Ghostwriter, a kids programme about four youngsters who team up with a ghost in a neighborhood bookstore. Animated series Snoopy in Space. The Elephant Queen , a documentary film about a mother elephant.
The following five titles have been scheduled to be added over the next few months: Servant, a thriller from M. Night Shyamalan, premiering Nov. 28. Truth Be Told, the mystery drama starring Spencer and Paul, premiering Dec. 6. Little America, from the husband-and-wife screenwriting team of Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon. The Banker, a movie based on a true story starring Anthony Mackie and Samuel L. Jackson. Hala, a movie produced by Jada Pinkett Smith that Apple picked up at Sundance
