Apple’s Move On Supplier Foxconn’s Tamil Nadu Unit In Food Poisoning Row

The Apple Supplier Foxconn Technology Group today said he was restructuring the local management team, after the incidence of mass food poisoning was recently at the Offsite Dormitory Facility Offsite of the Tamil Nadu Sriperumbudur Factory.

A spokesman Apple said the Foxconn Sriperumbudur facility was placed in a trial period.

In a statement today, Foxconn said that all employees will continue to be paid while the necessary improvements are made before restarting the operation. Foxconn said he would continue to provide support for staff when they returned to work.

“We also restructure our local management team and our management system to ensure we can achieve and maintain the high standards needed,” said a statement by the Foxconn Technology Group.

Meanwhile, an Apple spokesman said that the Sriperumbudur Foxconn facility had been placed in a trial period and that the company would ensure strict standards were met before the facility was reopened.

“We will continue to monitor the condition carefully,” Apple spokesman said in an email, reported the kernbagania news agency about India.
