At its second hardware event this year, Apple finally announced the highly anticipated iPhone 12 series. The Cupertino giant's upcoming iPhone upgrades resemble the iPhone 4 with a rounded design and smaller bezels.
This year, Apple is bringing 5G to its iPhones after nearly all smartphone OEMs have already included it in their flagships since last year. The company claims that the availability of 5G on the iPhone will boost your security because you don't need to connect to unsecured WiFi networks to access the internet.
The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini will be available this year in black, white, blue, red, and green.

The iPhone 12 features a new Super Retina XDR display with 460 PPI, which is twice the size of the iPhone 11. Apple iPhone 12 sports a new back material by Corning dubbed "Ceramic Shield" which, as Apple has it. Says, is "beyond glass and stronger than any glass smartphone." The company claims 4 times the drop performance with Ceramic Shield.
Apple iPhone 12 is powered by the A14 Bionic chip, which is the world's first smartphone chip built on the 5nm process. The new chipset can perform 11 trillion operations per second and brings 40% more transistors compared to A13.
In the camera department, the iPhone 12 features a dual-camera setup on the back with a 12MP ultra-wide camera with an f-2.4 aperture and a 12MP wide camera with an f1.6 aperture. In an interesting announcement, Apple is also bringing night mode to the front camera of the iPhone 12.
The iPhone 12 Mini, a smaller-sized variant, has a 5.4-inch display and sports the same design with a notch as the iPhone 12.
Another new feature alongside 5G in the iPhone 12 is " MagSafe for iPhone, " a wireless charging and connector technology. Apple introduced the MagSafe wireless charger that you can slap on the back of the iPhone and it will automatically align with the charger thanks to the magnets on the case as well as the charger. MagSafe for iPhone supports fast charging up to 15W.
Apparently, Apple is removing the power adapter as well as the headphones from the iPhone 12's box for environmental reasons. However, the company will provide a USB-C to Lightning adapter in the box.
The iPhone 12 starts at $ 799 and the iPhone 12 Mini will be available at $ 699.
