Apple, Google Warned Amazon, Said- Dirty Content Should Not Be on Kindle App

Apple and Google have warned Amazon about children accessing pornographic content through the Kindle app. According to the report coming out, children are accessing pornographic content through Amazon’s learning app Kindle. Apple and Google have advised Amazon to strengthen content moderation. In the report shared by Reuters, many such contents have been found on the Amazon Kindle app, in which nude photographs and pornographic things are present.

What is the matter?

According to the report, “75 hot fully nude photos of a young blonde” and “Real Erotica: Amateur Naked Girls – Vol. There are e-books such as 4″ that children can easily access. Both these e-books contain images of sexual activity, which is right for the minds of children. Based on this report, Apple and Google have asked Amazon to remove such content and have directed to strengthen content moderation.

Both big technology companies have said that this is a violation of their policy. The report also said that two parents said their teenage children downloaded such pornographic content through e-book subscriptions from the Amazon Kindle app. All this content is easily available on the Amazon Kindle app’s online store. The teenagers’ parents, who did not give their names to Reuters, said they paid $10 (about Rs 820) for a subscription to the Kindle app.

Amazon will take strict action

Amazon, the maker of the Kindle app, issued a statement to Reuters saying that we look forward to providing a better reading experience to our users and we are looking into it seriously. We are reviewing all available options and content and strict action will be taken against those who indulge in it.

Apple has said that we have raised this issue with the app developers and are working with them to meet our compliance and guidelines. Google also issued a statement saying that apps promoting sexual content are not allowed on Google Play, we have contacted the developers for the same.
