The tech giant Apple became the first US company to be valued at $ 2 trillion (£ 1.5 trillion) on the stock market.
It reached the milestone just two years after becoming the first trillion dollar company in 2018.
On Wednesday, its stock price hit $ 467.77 in mid-morning trading in the US, pushing it past the $ 2 trillion mark.
The only other company to hit the $ 2 trillion level was state-backed Saudi Aramco after listing its shares last December.
But the oil giant's value has since returned to $ 1.8 trillion and Apple has surpassed it by becoming the most valuable listed company in the world at the end of July.

Shares of the iPhone maker have risen more than 50% this year, despite the coronavirus crisis forcing it to close retail stores and political pressure on its connections in China.
In fact, its share price has doubled since its lowest point in March, when panic over the coronavirus pandemic swept the markets.
Tech firms, which were seen as winners despite the lockdowns, have seen their inventories surge in recent weeks, even as the US is in a recession.
Apple released excellent third-quarter data towards the end of July, including $ 59.7 billion in revenue and double-digit growth in its product and service segments.
The next most valuable US company is Amazon, which is worth around $ 1.7 trillion.

The rapid rise in Apple's share price is "an impressive feat in a short period of time," said Paolo Pescatore, technology analyst at PP Foresight.
"The past few months have highlighted the importance for users and families to have better quality devices, connections and services, and with Apple's strong broad portfolio of devices and a growing service offering, there are many opportunities for future growth ".
He said the arrival of gigabit broadband connectivity would offer Apple "endless possibilities".
"All eyes are now on the highly anticipated iPhone 5G which will fuel further consumer demand," he added.
