We didn’t yet see a biometric-based patent implemented by Apple yet but they have gone and filed yet another one. This one reveals a fingerprint sensor apparently embedded into the iPhone itself.  So Apple introduces us to an all-new unlock screen feature that utilizes higher integrated security features via biometrics that could also be used in e-Commerce transactions. They have been refining their next wave e-Commerce security features using sophisticated biometrics, that’s why Apple recently acquired AuthenTec.

The patent describes a hardware “window” that can become selectively “transparent or opaque” such as a polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) window. This means a window may be hidden while not in use and become exposed by causing the electronic window to change opacity, allowing the components to suddenly appear as from out of nowhere.
