Apple has settled a class action lawsuit over an alleged design flaw Powerbeats 2 Some customers said that the sports headphones no longer hold a charge after minimal use. As part of the settlement, Apple agreed to pay $ 9.75 million, which will be split between attendees after legal fees and other costs.
MacRumors said details of the settlement were sent to Powerbeats 2 owners on Thursday. The billing results from a Lawsuit filed by in 2017 that called the headphones "sloppy" and accused Apple of falsely promoting the Powerbeats 2 as "built to endure".

Apple denied the allegations and any misconduct in the settlement, but agreed to the terms to avoid further litigation. The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Individuals who purchased new Powerbeats 2 headphones prior to August 7th are entitled to a settlement payment that has yet to be finalized by the court. According to the processing website, application forms must be submitted by November 20th and can be submitted online or by post.
