Apostle Frederick K.C. Price, founder of the Crenshaw Christian Center has died due to complications from the coronavirus. He was 89.
His son Fred Price Jr. announced his passing in social media writing that his father "has gone to be with the Lord this evening. We accept his decision to go as he got a glimpse of glory a couple of weeks ago."
According to ABC 7 Los Angeles, both he and his wife Betty tested positive for COVID-19 in early January, with Price spending weeks in the hospital.
Price founded the Crenshaw Christian Center in 1973 and built it into one of America's first Black megachurches, with 28,000 members and an estimated 15 million households watching televised church services every week ( I was one of he 15 million).
My prayers are with the Price family during their time of bereavement.
