Sunscreen chiefs launched a luxury 'shoeshine' style service - to wipe away sand from little beach-goers' toes.
The Garnier Ambre Solaire Anti-Sand Service on one of Britain's busiest sandy beaches, Margate, offered kids a pre-beach application of anti-sand sun protection spray, and for those who haven't had the spray applied, a post-beach dusting and wash-off.
It comes after 89 per cent of Brits said putting shoes back onto sand covered feet was annoying.
As part of a summer awareness campaign, the brand conducted research with 2,000 parents of 3- to 10-year-olds which found that 60% want more information on sun protection and how to look after their children's skin in the sun.
It also revealed that a third of parents find applying sunscreen to their children difficult, 38% admit to not applying sun protection lotion often enough to their children as they get so irritable and uncomfortable and 21% believe they sometimes don't put enough sunscreen on their children.
Garnier Ambre Solaire has launched an Anti-Sand Spray as part of its Easy Peasy Kids range this summer to provide no-fuss sun protection for families.
