Antalya, Turkey - Day 1

By Emma @lamodedemm
Despite the news surrounding Turkey at the time, I still forged ahead with booking a holiday there. I knew I wanted to visit either Greece, Italy or Turkey this year, simply because I study Classics and wanted to go somewhere with ruins and rich history.

I nearly missed my flight. This was a story for the ages because God knows what I would have done. A combination of working the previous day, packing late, oversleeping and messing up my travel plans VERY NEARLY saw my holiday end before it began. Needless to say, I made the flight. We stayed at the Wind of Lara Hotel which was phenomenal. A true 5* hotel and we were all inclusive. It's a new build so everything was clean, modern and the facilities were beyond superb. Even better, it was only a 20 minute drive from the airport. We didn't do much on the first day other than settle down, make our acquaintances with the dinner AND ultra night buffets, explore the hotel and the surrounding areas.

I did not enter the shop with the intention of buying sunglasses, but I certainly did not leave without them. I love a good cat eye.
