‘Ant-Man’ Finds Its Director, and a Rewrite

Peyton Reed has agreed to direct Ant-Man. Peyton is known mostly for mid-level comedy movies like Bring It On, Yes Man, and The Break-Up. He’s also directed TV episodes of The New Girl, The Goodwin Games, and Upright Citizens Brigade. With this resume, it’s clear that Ant Man is aiming to be a comedy. On top of that, Adam McKay has agreed to do a rewrite. The guy who usually directs Will Ferrell, and is best known for Step Brothers, Anchorman, and The Other Guys, is fixing the Ant-Man script that Edgar Wright abandoned.

The combination of the two, plus Paul Rudd in the lead (who McKay knows how to right for), actually make for a promising Ant-Man. At least, that’s what I think.
