Photo Post Another one of my favorite fantasy novels, Winter’s Tale by Mark Helprin, is getting made into a movie. Think like Boardwalk Empire meets Gabriel Garcia Marquez meets Hurricane Sandy meets Hinduism meets a beat reporter at the New York Post.
It’s starring Colin Farrell as the lead, Peter Lake, which I think is an excellent casting. It’s also starring Jessica Brown Findlay, aka Lady Sybil, as Beverly, his terminally ill love interest. Another great casting.
Apparently you can catch them riding horses around Prospect Park, where the film is currently being shot. The story itself takes place in New York City, so if you like fantasy, hot Irish men, the Hudson River, New York City, and love stories, I would read the book before it becomes yesterday’s news.
