Anna Paquin in Margaret

Anna Paquin (Sookie Stackhouse) showed off her dramatic acting chops in last year’s emotional film Margaret, which Roger Ebert dubbed as “one of the best films of the year.” The film went through several ups and downs, mostly due to director Kenneth Lonergan‘s struggle with trying to meet the agreed-upon 150-minute run time. Margaret eventually received a limited theatrical release and received high praise, especially for Paquin’s performance. On July 1oth, the film will receive a limited-time Blu-ray combo pack release, which will include a bonus DVD featuring a three hour extended cut including over 30 minutes of additional footage.

Paquin, Matt Damon and Mark Ruffalo lead an impressive cast in this story of a Manhattan teenager (Paquin) whose life is profoundly altered after witnessing a terrible accident. Experience an emotional teen’s extraordinary journey to set things right as her innocent ideals come crashing against the harsh realities of the adult world.  The Blu-ray will be available for a limited time exclusively through Amazon.

Did any Truebies see the film in theaters last year?
