Anna Faris And Chris Pratty Probably Ended Things Because His Schedule Was Too Full
On Sunday night, Chris Pratt announced on Facebook that he and Anna Faris were legally separating after eight years of marriage. We’ve now got some possible theories for why their marriage hit the skids.
You might already have an assumption of what killed their relationship. Like that all the weight Chris Pratt lost from his body was redistributed to his allegedly giant ego. And that might be true – it would explain why Anna Faris liked him on the chunkier side. Or maybe you’re staring suspiciously at Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence’s body language at the Passengers premiere.
But the current angle getting the most press is that Chris was just too busy to be a husband. A source tells People magazine that Anna, whose sitcom Mom films in LA, missed Chris while he was off filming a never-ending string of blockbusters in various parts of the globe.
“Anna is a very sweet girl, and it did often seem that the distance between her and Chris – his busy schedule and hers – was hard on her,” a source tells People. “He was gone on various projects and that’s never easy. She always seemed so happy when he was back from filming. I assume it was hard for both of them, with a young child and busy careers, to balance all of that.”
Sources tell TMZ something similar. They say the only homewrecker involved in the breakup of their marriage was Chris’ recent career boost. Anna reportedly wanted a traditional family, where everyone hung out together at home. Chris, on the other hand, reportedly liked all the film shoot traveling that came with being a member of The A-list Hollywood Hunks Named Chris Club.
Their sources also claim Anna wanted more children (they currently have a 4-year-old son named Jack). But Chris didn’t want any more kids at the moment, because his career won’t let him be in one place all the time.
Chris and Anna are reportedly proceeding full-speed ahead with a divorce, which TMZ’s sources claim will be “amicable.” As for what they might fight over when they do saunter into divorce court, People magazine has all the financials covered. They say that – duh – things will be split up easier if they signed a prenup. Chris earned $12 million for Passengers, and a collective $26 million in 2015 for Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World. Meanwhile, Anna reportedly makes $125,000 an episode for Mom (at 22 episodes a season, that’s almost $3 million a season). They add that it’s likely their business managers are already working on a settlement.
Anna’s memoir, Unqualified, was scheduled for release in late October. Page Six says their split announcement won’t delay the release. An advanced readers copy reportedly shows the book is dedicated to Chris, and that he wrote a “loving” foreword. Oh boy, that should be an interesting press tour.
TMZ’s sources also implied that there are a few other personal reasons why Chris and Anna split, but they don’t get specific. Maybe the final straw came when Anna found a red MAGA hat stashed in the back of Chris’ closet? If she has her memoirs reprinted before October, I hope she remembers to include that juicy chapter.
