Steve Newlin (Michael McMillian) returned to Bon Temps last year as an openly gay vampire American in season 5 leading many to wonder what happened to his wife. It looks like we’re going to find out very soon! Anna Camp is headed back to True Blood to reprise her role as Sarah Newlin according to a report published yesterday from TV Line.
The news comes not long after reports emerged speculating whether the actress would return or not given that the opportunity to do so arose last season. No word on how long the character will be in Bon Temps after we last saw her in season 2. Camp’s current engagements include FOX’s the Mindy Project and Vegas on CBS.
But considering that last we saw Sarah Newlin, she also had some unfinished business with Jason (Ryan Kwanten), I’d say she’ll be sticking around for a little while at least.
