Verdict on Angels of the Sky
Angels of the Sky is a documentary following the stories of five Air Force pilots and their time as POWs in World War II. Each pilot risked their lives to help out during the war and found themselves shot down behind enemy lines.
The stories get to let us know the difficult conditions they were forced to live in. However, for the most part, they knew they were safe. This gets to let us know about different attempts to escape and the dangerous transfers they were forced into making between camps. They get to let us know about their losses along the way, and the fears they were feeling.
If you want to learn more about other stories from World War II, this is an excellent addition to the history. However, it does feel like we have heard many of these horrific encounters over the years. It doesn’t do that much that we have heard of before.
Where to Watch: Angels of the Sky is available on TVOD on the 18th of July 2023.
Final Thoughts – Angels of the Sky is an interesting documentary exploring more horrors of war.
