Angela’s Christmas (2017- Short) – Review

Angela's Christmas is a short 30 minute film which is funny and heart warming, set in Ireland it follows Angela one Christmas Eve when she is concerned about the Baby Jesus from the Church being too cold.

I wouldn't normally think about watching a short film like this but when turning on Netflix it popped up with a trailer and it was put across in such a lovely way that I decided to watch the whole thing. I am actually pleased that I decided to watch it as it really does have such a lovely message about family and Christmas time.

The animation was just lovely to watch as well which I felt made it even better. You could not help but love Angela and feel for what she was trying to do, keeping the baby Jesus warm by taking him home from the church. This then led to her family finding out and deciding what they would then do next.

I really would recommend that you watch this in the build up towards Christmas it is nice to watch something that does not focus on the presents that are given and has much more of a meaning than anything else you will probably watch over the festive period. It is based on a book and the story is told by a boy who is actually Angela's son!
