Angela Lansbury Open To “Murder She Wrote” Reboot
Angela Lansbury, who is 91 years old, says she’s ready to take her sweater vests out of the cedar box, dust off the mouse poops and reprise her role as Jessica Fletcher for a final episode of Murder She Wrote.

Murder, She Wrote is loved by millions, and it could be returning for one more episode.
Dame Angela Lansbury, who starred as Jessica Fletcher in the long-running detective series, has hinted that she could be returning to the role once more.
The show ran for 12 years and 264 episodes before it ended in 1996, but Dame Angela, 91, has said she wouldn’t be surprised if she reprised her role.
It won’t be the first time she’s revisited the show; there have been four, 2-hour episodes since the series ended. Mirror says that if they do have another episode, it would likely be the last. At 91, I’m not sure what types of crimes Jessica could be solving. I hope they don’t waste a lot of time making hacky old lady jokes. Like will they replace her typewriter with a computer and the entire episode is Jessica trying to figure out how to double click? Or perhaps an episode where Jessica can’t find her glasses, gets in her car to go look for them at the Cabot Cove post office where she thinks she might have left them, but then drops her car keys and as she leans over to pick them up her glasses fall off the top of her head where they’d been the whole time? That type of lazy writing would be beneath Dame Lansbury. She’s not that type of old lady.
She’s the shady kind. She recently opened up her enormous parasol over the live-action remake of Beauty and The Beast. According to Entertainment Weekly (via Mirror):
When asked what her initial reaction to news of the project was, she said: “I was a bit taken aback, naturally. I thought, ‘Why? Why are we doing this over again?’ But I guess, I don’t know why they’re doing it. But they are, and it will be interesting to see what they do with it.”
Then, when asked if she found the idea of somebody taking on her role as Mrs Potts strange, she added: “Oh, absolutely. I can’t understand what they’re going to do with it that will be better than what we’ve already done.”
There is nothing like a dame! These old broads invented shade and Angela is a master. Jessica Fletcher may solve murders, but Angela Lansbury has come to slay.
