Angela Gheorghiu awarded by King Michael I - VIDEO
On the occasion of King Michael I's 91st birthday, Angela Gheorghiu received today the Nihil Sine Deo decoration, a royal medal to award her exceptional merits in promoting Romanian culture.
Because she is a symbol of the ageless cultural values of the opera, of the fulfillment through education and culture, a symbol for Romania abroad. For her vaste career, for her extraordinary talen and for the greatness of her performances. For the diversity of the roles performed on stage and for promoting the professionalism and dignity of the man of culture through her public activity. For the public support offered to my family, for consolidating the bond between Romania and other royal families in the world through her international performances.
