Manchester producer Andy Stott returns with a schizophrenic new single that alternates between eerie minimalism and abrasive synth noise. Back in 2011 Andy Stott got a lot of praise for his track “Numb” and his EP’s in general, that however didn’t rub off on me. “Violence”, a track that makes a good case for it title, is a completely different story; Scott’s highly unconventional take on song structure and experimental synth leads makes it some of the most interesting electronic music I’ve heard this year.
Andy Stott’s new album is titled Faith In Strangers and is out November 17 via Modern Love.
