- Early impressions of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro: This week, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro devices made their way to reviewers. There are tons of early impressions and unboxing videos to read. The good people at MacRumors collected a couple of them in one place. Stay tuned for Android Authority Review of the iPhone 12 soon!
- The battery capacities of all iPhone 12 models have been confirmed: Oddly enough, Apple doesn't disclose battery capacities or RAM specifications for its iPhones. Therefore, these statistics can only be confirmed by third-party testers. Now we know the battery capacities for all iPhone 12 models. The iPhone 12 Mini has a 2,227 mAh battery, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro have the same 2,815 mAh battery, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max has a 3,687 mAh battery.

- Qualcomm modems for iPhones confirmed: While we were absolutely certain that Apple would use the Qualcomm X55 modem in its first 5G iPhones, teardowns have confirmed it. Apple suspended all litigation against Qualcomm in order to gain access to the modems. Therefore it was assured that this would be the case.
- Speaking of Qualcomm modems ... whoops: An Apple Qualcomm billing confirms that the next Qualcomm 5G modem we expect will be the X60. The filing goes much further, however, confirming an X65 and an X70, both of which have not yet been confirmed. While it doesn't take a genius to conclude what Qualcomm will call its future mobile modem chips, it is definitely a "whoopsie" to include on the record.
- DS / DS on the iPhone 12 does not yet support 5G: When you get your iPhone 12 with 5G power, you have a physical SIM card slot and eSIM support. You can use both SIM cards for what is known as "dual SIM, dual standby". This is useful when you have two phone lines on an iPhone. However, you will not be able to access 5G networks with DS / DS on the iPhone 12 models if you get them. A future software update will turn this on.
- Apple TV Plus gets peanut vacation films: The Charlie Brown classics A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and A Charlie Brown Christmas will be streamed exclusively on Apple TV Plus this year. This is a major challenge for Apple as many families traditionally watch these films every year.
