Andorra La Vella to Barcelona

Andorra la Vella to Barcelona

Church of Saint Stephen - Andorra la Vella

Andorra la Vella is the main town of Andorra, the only reason I visited Andorra is to visit another country.  This is actually a great place for skiing in winter, so in the winter season Andorra is full of tourists.  In the summer months, as Andorra is a tax free state, there are many French and Spanish visitors buying alcohol and tobacco.  Because I visited in the off season, the Andorra la Vela hotels were very quiet and very good value.  The town is situated on the side of a mountain, and you can take free elevators up to the different levels of town, which is easier than walking up the streets.

From the tiny bus station in Andorra la Vela, there is a useful bus service called DirectBus which leaves every 2 hours to Barcelona Sants and Barcelona airport.  This service takes 3 hours with free wifi and phone chargers.
