And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie

Ten guests travel to an island at the invitation of someone named U. N. Owen. All are strangers, but they have two things in common: they have all been responsible for someone's death, and none will leave the island alive.

Over the next two days and nights, each of the guests is killed off in a different manner in keeping with the nursery rhyme, Ten Little Soldier Boys. As they are picked off one by one, who could possibly be responsible?

The killers are forced to turn detective so they can find the unknown murderer, but one by one they become victims...

I read this for 2017 Popsugar Reading Challenge. The category is 'a book that's been mentioned in another book'.

I must confess, I've never read any books by Agatha Christie, although I have seen the odd TV adaptation.

I loved And Then There Were None.

I liked the quality of this audiobook. Each character is played by a different actor. The audio also includes sound effects such as the water lapping as the characters are taken to the island by boat, music and a child narrator who recites a creepy nursery rhyme at key points during the audio.

And Then There Were None is a great mystery. The alleged sins of the strangers are revealed and one by one they are made to pay. I liked the characters, how they all they have distinct personalities. I liked the way the creepy nursery rhyme is linked to the death's.

And Then There Were None has a great premise and was fun to listen to.
