There are some couples that I get to meet and you get an instant connection. They can be so similar it’s scary and you get on like you’ve known each other for years…
This is what it’s felt like ever since I met Emma-Jane and Shaun. They are THE sweetest couple and I’ve loved keeping up to date with all their wedding plans as well finding out more about them (Emma-Jane is a scary Cheryl fan too, so pleased to hear I’m not alone with that one ha). There’s a bigger wedding in the diary for 2014 for this lovely couple however they wanted me to capture a more intimate day with just close friends and family this April and it was a pleasure to do so alongside their chosen wedding photographers, Dotmoxee.

I had lots of fun in the morning comparing cuddly toys and drinking tea, I even found myself helping out with the bridesmaids hair as we tried to perfect the look the bride was after. Mornings always start off quite slow but before we knew it we were ushering the girls in to their cars and heading for the church.
This is where we met a very nervous groom who was trying to settle those nerves in the pub outside St Elphin’s Church! Shaun made his way inside the church and lost his battle with holding back the tears as soon as he saw his beautiful bride. They grinned like two cheshire cats throughout the service and after being pronounced husband and wife they enjoyed having some pictures in the church grounds with guests before sneaking off on their own. I adored the bridal bouquet, flowers hand-picked by the bride from Liverpool flower market. Aren’t they just perfect?
The sun shone down over their reception venue too, Ask in Warrington’s Golden Square. Guests enjoyed welcome drinks on the patio before taking their seats and enjoying some heart-warming Itailian food-myself and the photographers even got our own table complete with our own gingerbread men and women table place names, cute!
An impromptu first dance to an instrumental version of one of their favorite songs meant that there was only one song to use for this film.
I filmed this wedding on my own as they wanted something a little smaller than I usually offer. Having just the one camera did have it’s limitations however it did offer the couple a way of having their more intimate day captured without being overwhelmed by so many cameras. With plenty of planning we were able to capture the moments that meant the most to the couple and create the perfect film for them to relive their wedding day.
