Weekend are great, aren’t they? You can just go do whatever you want and meander around experiencing little bits of magic. This weekend we tried out a new hiking trail at rietfontein nature reserve, now this isn’t any nature reserve, this is home to free me wildlife rehabilitation centre, a pretty amazing place. The hike was really beautiful and had a great combination of city and nature, the one thing that I didn’t really like was all the commotion around, it wasn’t the greatest place for tranquillity, but it was great for spotting deer. Now I’ve been on a few hikes and lots of them have promised deer, yet this was the first time I’ve seen them, it was one of those moments where you blurt out “I didn’t make up your existence deer!”. Weekends are not all about hiking, its also for finding some second hand markets and trying to find sweet deals ( I found no sweet deals, but a good time was had) and to end off a good weekend you’ve got to buy a beautiful oriental lily with a grayed jade pot cover!
