I'm fond of some beauty treats, though I'm sure you're already aware if you've been reading Hello Freckles for a while. So when I was invited along to The Bridges to experience a night of beauty treats, I couldn't wait for a pamper.
Starting in Debenhams, I visited Clarins where I had such a lovely skin consultation with Claire. She talked me through everything, asked about skin concerns and let me try out a range of products. I've since been testing these at home thanks to some very cute samples - more on that soon.
After popping into Kiko and The Body Shop, I then visited Boots. Welcomed to the No7 counter, I learned all about their revolutionary skin-true technology to give you your perfect match in their foundation shades. Intrigued, as someone who always opts for the palest tone on offer, I hopped on the chair. Using a device placed onto bare skin,my skin-true shade was identified in seconds. My perfect match was Calico, then one shade warmer was Cool Vanilla. I tried Cool Vanilla and was pleasantly surprised by the warmth and glow it gave me. Getting your skin-true match is completely complimentary on the No7 counters and you'll also find out which blusher, bronzer and lipstick shades will suit your skin tone too - win win!
This year, Boots have launched their Emporium, full of Christmas gifts to suit whoever you're buying for, and an array of treats you can personalise. Everything from eyeshadow palettes which you can build with shades to suit and add a personal message, to perfumes and even makeup brushes can now be engraved. It's such a simple way to add a personal touch to a gift and make it that little more special.
For me, no trip to The Bridges is complete without visiting Lush. I was very excited to pop into store and make my own Butter Bear bath bomb. Next stop, a job in the Lush HQ creating the bath products? I joke, but I am impressed with how this little guy has turned out and I'm now saving him for a cold winter evening whilst I have a range of bath treats to be working through.
