Oh my goodness. I don’t even know where to start with this gorgeous Lake District wedding video.
I could tell you about how excited I was to hear from the Bride’s Mum who wanted to book (thanks yet again to Siobhan!).
How excited I was to be filming in the Lakes yet again.
How much I was looking forward to working alongside Vicki O’Brian (wedding photographer) or even about how much I fell in love with them after they sent me their awesome dance track music suggestions.
OR, I could let the film do the talking…
Our Bride Jessica was getting ready in the stunning Bridal Suite in the tower at Armathwaite Hall joined by both Mum’s and her bridal party. Not forgetting handsome a little page boy (who took a shine to one one of the Bridesmaids!).
Stephen was getting ready over near Penrith at his parents with his Groomsman. They had fun perfecting their braces and bow ties to match. Looking really dapper in their smart looking black DKNY suits and crisp white shirts.
The clouds were starting to part and really show off the amazing Bassenthwaite lake side scenery over at Armathwaite Hall. I LOVED setting Jess’s dress up in front of that AMAZING window overlooking the lake! I loved it even more seeing Jessica be transformed in the a truly stunning Bride (how amazing is her hair and make-up by Rebecca and Jessica?).
She took everyone’s breathe away.
The guys clock watched and pretended not to be nervous standing in front of all their family and friends awaiting the bridal party.
They didn’t have to wait long as Jess couldn’t wait to get down the aisle.
They exchanged wedding rings and said their vows before having their first kiss as official husband and wife. Yey!
Guests were soon ushered out on to the lawns in the glorious sunshine before Vicki started making her way through the list of family group shots.
I like the bits in-between the actual photos, when people don’t think anyone is taking a photo (or filming them do silly things or say something inappropriate haha).
With the sun still shining it was soon time to start the wedding breakfast back inside. Jess and Stephen kept it simple with fresh white flowers dressing the room. Not forgetting the personal touch of homemade alcohol for all the guests!
Speeches seemed tricky at first with the cosy room layout but they totally nailed it and got all the guests belly laughing. I loved hearing all the personal stories (and seeing the reactions!).
As evening guests freshened up Vicki and I took the couple out in to the fields by the lake to capture some relaxed and romantic moments of just the two of them.
I managed to get some of my favorite moments of the day here and you’d never know they weren’t so keen of being all ‘lovey dovey’ as they thought it’d be cheesy (you’ll see it’s anything but)!
In the evening they moved over to the modern side of the country venue. Lots of thought had gone in to the details from the basket of flip flops for evening guests to the chalkboard notices and Polaroid guest book.
They had a cool sax player entertaining their guests before nipping outside for the fun that is the bouquet toss and not forgetting enjoying a mass sparkler shot!
Our Dave sax guy then played them on to the dance floor for their first dance. Stephen became a pro at lifting her up for a crowd pleasing spin!
I honestly had an amazing day spending time with such wonderful families. It’s great to be able to work with couples who are not only lovely but have family and friends welcome you in like you’ve known them forever!
It’s probably a Scouse thing too but I LOVE it. Makes my job so much easier and I can really capture the fun and relaxed atmosphere without anyone even realising I’m filming…
