An American Crime is a biographical sensational drama that it tells the true story in 1965 of the torture and murder of Sylvia Likens by Indianapolis housewife Gertrude Baniszewski. In the storyline you will see that two sisters named Sylvia and Jennie Fae Likens, they are left for an extended stay at the Indianapolis home of single mother with her six children. Times are tough and it is very hard for this single mother to accomplish financial needs and that burden pushed her into the unstable nature to a breaking point.
