Wait… I need to take my pills.
Here, much better.
Amiga 500 was one of the best computers ever made, it also happens to be my sweetheart while I was in high school.
The machine was so goddamn cool that it reigned supreme over all others. Creating a whole new underground culture with its graphics and sound capabilities and of course its games. A whole generation grew up proudly with Warmonger, Wings, Alien Breed, Shadow of the Beast, Lotus and other golden classics.
Now a dear old friend appears in the distance. Amiga Games Incorporated, and its library of over 300 titles, have been purchased for $500,000 by Writers’ Group, a company that acquires and distributes digital content.
The new owner is promising several announcements over the next few weeks.
Here is the press release:

The 300+ gaming titles to be distributed by Amiga Games are available to the company under existing licensing agreements with various intellectual property owners. Writers’ Group will be making additional announcements over the next several weeks regarding Amiga Games’ new and existing distribution arrangements with the best-selling smartphone, tablet and other device manufacturers.
Eric Mitchell, Chairman and CEO of Writers’ Group commented, “We are pleased to be working with this well-managed game developer and distributor, and we are excited that we are participating in their growth story through this acquisition.
