Trump still wants to build a wall between the United States and Mexico, but only his most fervent supporters support that. Nearly two-thirds (64%) of Americans oppose building that wall, while only about one-third (33%) support it. And that opposition includes both genders, all age groups, and both whites and non-whites.
Trump may try to build that wall (costing more than $20 billion), but he will do it without the support of a huge majority of Americans.
The chart above reflects the results of the latest Quinnipiac University Poll -- done between March 30th and April 3rd of a random national sample of 1,171 voters, with a margin of error of 2.9 points.
