The narcissist living in our White House is not going to like this. It seems that half of all voters (49%) say they are embarrassed to have Trump as president, while only 27% (about one-quarter) say they are proud. That's a 22 point gap.
This helps explain why Trump can't improve his job approval numbers. It's hard to approve of a leader who is an embarrassment to you.
Currently, only 38% approve of the job Trump is doing while 58% disapprove -- a 20 point gap favoring disapproval. And that disapproval stretches across all gender, age and race/ethnicity groups. Trump just remains a very unpopular leader.
These charts show the results of a new Quinnipiac University Poll -- done between July 18th and 23rd of a national sample of 1,177 voters, with a margin of error fo 3.5 points.
