Amelia Rose Blaire to Be a Series Regular in True Blood Season 7

ameliaroseblaireAmelia Rose Blaire signed on last season to play Willa Burrell, the daughter of Governor Burrell. Early on in the season, she became Eric’s progeny when he turned her to spite her father. I interviewed Amelia last June and I was hoping she would last out the season. It’s now been reported by Deadline that we will see her in Season 7, but not as a guest star, but as a series regular. Prior to “True Blood,” Blair appeared in “Royal Pains,” “The Glades,” “Touch,” “The Protector” and “Grimm.”

Blaire ended up appearing in virtually every episode of Season 6, and in my opinion, she was a great addition to the cast.

Here’s my sincere hope: that we get to see more of everybody we love, because everybody is under the banner of fewer stories,” said Buckner. “The story is ‘for every human a vampire, for every vampire a human,’ and now that there’s a lesser need for separate plot and separate story development for every single character that we have, we’re actually going to get to spend more time with them. That’s my hope, that’s the motivation, and that’s where it’s all coming from.

Production on True Blood‘s seventh season is expected to begin in December.
