Amelia Rose Blaire’s Willa Burrell got to live out the fantasy of just about every woman in the world when she got to sleep in a coffin with Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgård). Amelia herself recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about getting the chance to work on a show she’s been a fan of and of course working with Mr. Skarsgård. Being a fan of the show, Amelia describes her first experience at the table read in a way that any Truebie could relate to:
“I’ve been a huge fan of the show from the beginning, so when I came in for my first table read, I just had the stupidest smile on my face. I was one of the first people to get there, and I was just sitting in the room, and then all of the sudden, in walks Anna Paquin (Sookie Stackhouse) and Stephen Moyer (Bill Compton). I was so giddy as I watched all of my favorite actors and characters coming in and sitting at the same table as me.”
But of course the one question she kept getting asked was:
“Everybody wants to know if I’ve met Alexander Skarsgard. ‘Is he dreamy in person?’”
After the steamy scenes of Sunday night’s episode, Willa has proven that she’s a little more than just a pawn in Eric Northman’s game which presents Blaire with a delightful challenge as an actor:
I feel like she has a lot of love. And I hope that’s what comes across — love for everyone around her.” And we’re guessing we haven’t seen the last of her juicy scenes: “This role, I have found, is all about going to the place that scares me and pushing myself to step up. Which is really cool.I feel like a lot of the time as actors, it’s hard to find a role that challenges you to do something that you’re not sure if you can do, or if you can make it happen, or if you can go there. This show has continuously challenged me to keep stepping it up.”
