Amber Riley has been cast in her very first feature film.
Riley, who recently starred, and won an Olivier for Best Actress for her role as Effie in the West End revival of DREAMGIRLS, has been cast in the Tyler Perry written and directed ‘The List.’
The drama follows a woman who gets released from prison and reunited with her sister, who is forced to accept that she might be getting “catfished” by an online boyfriend.
Riley is best known for her role as ‘Mercedes Jones’ in the Golden Globe Award-winning musical comedy, Glee. Additional television appearances include playing ‘Addaperle, THE GOOD WITCH of the North’ in the NBC live performance of the musical, The Wiz and competing in Dancing with the Stars, which she won in 2013.
Riley took to Instagram to express her happiness.
“So happy to finally announce that I’ve been cast in my very first feature film, GOD IS GOOD!”
