Amazing Vignette and Conversation Areas

By Simone Design Blog @HomeSpire

My husband Christopher and I are staying at the Stanley Hotel’s Lodge while on vacation in Estes Park, Colorado, located  at the base of the Rocky Mountain National Park. Much to my pleasure and surprise, the Lodge has a rustic decor, and I think they’ve done a marvelous job of creating vignettes and conversation areas throughout the three level Lodge. I was totally impressed with the materials and design styles used throughout. There are so many places for you to stop and admire, and they all have a mountainous view. Let me show some of my favorites.

Love the native American poufs in this conversation area. Isn’t that a fabulous picture window and floor lamp?

The wallpaper color complements the carpet while acting as a perfect backdrop to the gray chairs. The silver lamp adds a touch of glam to the space.

This vignette has a beautiful art deco look. I love the mirrored surfaces of the chest of drawers.

I would love to have this high back chair along with the planters box. It’s a very simple but elegant design.

This conversation area is not only eco-friendly (with the rocking chairs constructed from reclaimed wood and the poufs from jute), it also gives you a stunning view of the mountains.

The Lodge has given an unexpected touch by using this coffee table on wheels.

We’re having such a great vacation here in the Rockies! Although it has taken me a while to adjust to the altitude changes, I’ve enjoyed the hikes we’ve done. One day we went horse back riding; I appreciated taking the day off from hiking–my legs needed a rest!
