Amaju Pinnick, the president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), is convinced that Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro can restore the Super Eagles ' golden days.
He stated this in the aftermath of the team's excellent performance against Mexico in a friendly on Sunday, in which Nigeria lost 2-1.
In the 13th minute, Mexico grabbed the lead through Santiago Gimenez, before Cyril Dessers equalized.
However, the Eagles lost the friendly game with an own-goal from Ekong in the 56 minutes of the match.
In response to the performance, the former Delta State sports executive declared that appointing the Portuguese expert as Super Eagles coach was the right decision.
NFF president in his statement said,
"I am happy with what we put up out there. It was the first time after the disappointment of the World Cup playoff and you can say this is a makeshift team, while Mexico had their full-strength squad out there.
Amaju Pinnick added that,
"I like what I saw today and I have confidence that we have appointed the right coach that can restore the glory of the Super Eagles and make them start winning once more,"
