Once you enter your destination and dates, Amadeus.net returns your options and lets you search by either most popular, fastest and cheapest. When searching for a flight from Munich to Madrid I found a flight I wanted at the dates I wanted at a good price in less than a minute! But my favorite feature of Amadeus.net is that next to your search results it shows you the average price of flights according to the month! This is genius, especially if you can be flexible with your dates. Adjusting your dates by a month or two, or sometimes even by a week or two can result in major savings!

In addition to the flight search, Amadeus.net also provides a handy reference list of trip tools all in one place! I love this feature! It’s nice to know at the time of booking what the time difference is, what the currency exchange is and be provided with a subway map of how to get from the airport. It even provides the current weather so you know what to pack if you’re booking a flight that’s leaving soon.

Amadeus.net makes sharing and coordinating travel plans a snap. Once you’ve created your account, you enter in your flight search details, save the flight you’re most interested in and create a plan that can be shared with your Facebook friends (if you logged in with Facebook) or via email. I love this feature for coordinating travel plans. And if you’re traveling alone, or just need some inspiration you can search other traveler’s plans (if they’ve made them public, you also have the option to keep them private) and see if anything catches your eye!

As with any trip planner website, there are also a few drawbacks. It’s still in beta so it’s a bit clunky to use at the moment and can be a bit finicky, but I believe these kinks will be worked out soon. As of December 2014, you only have the option to search for flights, but they will be expanding to include other travel services soon, which will make your travel planning one stop shopping. But as far as my complaints go that’s it! I really like being able to see the flight prices by month and the trip tools, usually which I end up doing several Google searches to find the information, so this will save me time! I also liked that I found (and booked) my Munich to Madrid flight so quickly!
In summary, I would highly recommend using Amadeus.net as a flight comparison and trip planner site!
