Aloe Uses as Part of Your Beauty Routine

By Simon Crowther @prestigeflower

While many people know just how beautiful aloe plants are, they still do not completely appreciate the benefits this plant has hiding inside its leaves. You too can enjoy the natural benefits by trying these interesting aloe uses as part of your regular beauty routine.

Face mask

One of the greatest aloe uses is to help firm up your skin. You can make your very own mask by following this recipe. Once ready, apply to your skin and allow to sit for 20 minutes before you rinse.

  • 1 part aloe vera gel
  • 1 part greek yogurt (the plain variety)
  • 1 part shredded cucumber

Aloe hair mask

Most aloe uses are associated with the skin but did you know that you can use it on your hair too? Simply massage this mixture into your hair, allow to sit for 30 minutes and then wash your hair with a sulfate-free shampoo.

  • 3 parts coconut oil (heat up if it is not liquid)
  • 2 parts aloe vera gel
  • 1 part honey

Lush lashes and brows

If you want longer lashes and thicker eyebrows, you will love this easy recipe! Just remember to apply it using a clean mascara brush and avoid getting it in your eyes.

  • 1 part aloe vera gel
  • 3 parts castor oil

As you can see, these recipes are super easy and aloe uses range far beyond soothing sunburns and insect bites. These plants are easy to grow and they are also known for purifying the air in your home. By removing various toxins from the air, you will enjoy fresher air while making the most of their beautiful appearance too. These plants do not tend to grow too quickly so you also don't need to worry about repotting them too often. Especially if you plan on using the gel as part of your beauty routine.
