Allura Lingerie, Morpeth

A couple of weeks ago I woke up early for a Saturday morning (just before 8am!) to go for a little trip to Morpeth. Turns out getting up early on a weekend makes you feel way more productive and it's something I've been trying to get into the habit of doing ever since. That being said, sometimes it's nice to sleep in a little isn't it!
Driving up to Morpeth was really easy and seeing all the autumnal coloured trees on the way was lovely. There's free parking for up to 3 hours within the town centre, you just need a parking disc (which will cost £1 but if you keep it safe, you shouldn't have to buy another) and I had no trouble getting a space on a Saturday morning. I even had time for a little walk along the river before I headed to Allura Lingerie for my appointment.       I met Lucy, the owner of Allura, who opened the lingerie boutique in August last year. She's really knowledgeable and friendly, which is what you want when you're looking for underwear. I had time to browse the lingerie in store before Lucy gave me a fitting and picked out a few bras for me to try. 
If you're looking for something in particular, Lucy can take your needs into account, whether it's a strapless bra to wear under your new party dress, a sports bra, or just something a little different. She doesn't measure with a tape, instead does it all by eye; fitting for shape rather than size. 
Bra fittings can be a bit uncomfortable, but Lucy put me at ease, offering me a few styles I wouldn't necessarily try and in the end, I went for something a little different. Although I'm not one to post underwear shots online, (considering some work colleagues read my blog from time to time, not to mention family members too I think that would be just a little too much for me!) you can see what I went for, classic black plunge style that's slightly sheer with lace detailing.
Allura Lingerie is open Tuesday to Saturday and you can arrange for a private consultation if you wish - just means you'll have the whole boutique to yourself. Great if you're wanting to take a friend along, or just treat yourself.
