Bandaragama PS member B. G. Sunethra has made a complaint to the Police that a person who stormed into a house at Kosgahawatta, Pamunugama had attacked a Samagi Jana Blavegaya (SJB) supporter in her presence while threatening that only the JVP will be allowed to do political campaigning in the area.
“Susanta Perera, a 47-year-old father of two and resident of Pamunugama who was injured in the attack is receiving treatment at the Panadura Base Hospital,” Police said. Sunethra had visited the SJB supporters house to discuss her party’s campaign in the area. Police investigations are continuing to arrest the suspect.
