Whew it’s been a hot minute since I’ve recapped a weekend. And that’s because one of us has been sick for the past month and then we just kept passing it all around. Gross.
But, I think we’re all on the mend now (minus the dry cough but hey, that’s winter). So we’ve been taking advantage of all the Christmas things we can before the magical season passes us by.
Last weekend we made cookies with my mom and then surprised the kids with a visit from Santa on a firetruck! He dropped off a present for each of them and they were just beyond excited!
The next day we headed to see Santa again but this time, he had two of his reindeer with him. They also had a hot chocolate bar set up and it was pretty much the cutest thing ever.
This past weekend we took the kids sledding for the first time this season, and I think only their second time ever. Seriously they had SO much fun and I don’t think I’ve heard them laugh that much in awhile. Much needed after the sickies were keeping them homebound.
This week is a big week with holiday concerts and parties and then Christmas festivities next weekend. We have three nights of family and Christmas in a row and I cannot wait! Hope y’all are enjoying the season and making lifelong memories <3 xo!
