All He wants is to be loved. That is all God our Father ever wanted from us. Nothing else. Yet we continue encountering difficulty – for some, great difficulty – in doing this. Why? Why close our hearts to Love? Can there possibly be anything or anyone greater than Love Himself? Why are we cheating ourselves out of love? For that is, in essence and fact, what we are doing.
All God wants is love – our love – to shower down upon us innumerable gifts and graces. Even gifts and graces rarely seen before. So why not decide to love Him? If you feel you cannot do so or do so satisfactorily, ask Him to give you the grace to be able to love Him. Our Almighty Father will, without fail, for all He wants is love.
